Did you know that a third of donated blood supports cancer treatments? It only takes an hour to give blood, but every blood donation helps to change many lives. This week celebrates all those who donate, and encourages everyone who is able to, to get involved.

Over 8.3 million Australians require blood in their lifetime and the current system simply doesn’t have enough donations. Through just one donation you can save 3 individuals lives. In Australia a donation is needed every 18 seconds. There is a serious need for blood donors and by signing up this National Blood Donor Week you can become a part of the lifeblood of Australia!
