Biodiversity Month

Biodiversity is the range of plants, animals, and other lifeforms in an environment. Biodiversity is essential for the health of every place from the wilderness to our farms. You can help protect the incredibly vast range of species in Australia all throughout the month of September to show your support for Biodiversity Month!

Protecting and supporting Australia’s biodiversity, not only creates healthier and more diverse ecosystems, but provides environments with the ability to protect themselves against many threats and serious harm. There are many ways that everyone can get involved, so even if you don’t want to get your hands dirty there’s a way for you to make your mark!

You can visit their website for more information about biodiversity, ways to get involved in your community, the Australian Government’s national strategy for protecting biodiversity, and resources for bringing a Biodiversity Month event to your community. Keep an eye on their social media pages for any important updates about Biodiversity Month 2023 and practises to assist your local environment.

Don’t forget to check out the key dates and activities within Biodiversity Month on their website, particularly National Wattle Day and National Threatened Species Day!

Check them out and get involved!
