Every year on the 20th of June we observe World Refugee Day. Last year, the focus was on the right to seek safety. This day is designed as a tribute to refugees around the globe, for their strength and courage. 

They show a strength and resilience through escaping their home countries that is incomprehensible to most. The courage that refugees show by making better lives after escaping conflict and persecution is beyond admirable. 

World Refugee Day aims to raise empathy, compassion and understanding of their struggle and the perseverance they show in rebuilding their lives.
