Did you know that type 2 diabetes can be prevented in up to 58% of cases, through lifestyle changes such as regular exercise? Walking is a free, simple and enjoyable way to manage your weight and help prevent diabetes. Walk to Work Day promotes regular walking as a way to help people reduce their risk of type 2 diabetes while raising funds for Diabetes Australia. If you can’t walk all the way to work, use public transport and get off a few stops earlier, or park your car a few blocks away from your workplace. Spread the word!
