Rare Disease Day

Rare Disease Day is observed on the 28th of February-the rarest day of the year. Around the world there are approximately 300 million people living with a rare disease. These individuals, their families, friends and carers need everyone to raise awareness and start creating equitable change.

This cause gives patients the ability to lead, while allowing family, friends, carers, medical professionals, policy makers, researchers and the general public to raise awareness and take action for this vulnerable group.

We have to work together to provide those with rare diseases the immediate and pressing attention their struggles require. It’s key that we ensure our communities protect and uplift those who are vulnerable and afflicted.
