Perinatal Depression and Anxiety Awareness Week

Perinatal Depression and Anxiety Awareness Week was created to give our community and health workers better knowledge around perinatal mental health.

Each year we share stories and resources to better support parents through incredibly difficult times.

1 in 5 birth parents will experience perinatal anxiety, psychosis and/or depression. On top of that, 1 in 10 dads will also experience perinatal anxiety and/or depression. This is not uncommon and we have to work together to create spaces where parents can reach out with their struggles and to know that even in exciting times we can struggle.

The strongest thing that someone who is struggling can do is reach out for help, there are many resources available which can be found by clicking on the website link.
