National Carers Week

Anyone at any time can become a carer. National Carers Week is about recognising and celebrating the outstanding contribution that Australia’s 2.7 million unpaid carers make to our nation.

A carer is someone who provides unpaid support and care for a family member or friend. An individual may need this care for a variety of reasons such as mental health issues, terminal illness, disability, substance abuse issues or an individual whose age has affected their abilities.
