Did you know that every day, an average Australian farmer produces enough food to feed 600 people? And that farmers care for 51% of the entire Australian landscape?
To honour this work, you can host an AgDay BBQ, or attend an official AgDay event. You can also enter the AgDay Photo Competition #WeAreAusFarmers You can teach a lesson in farming – do your kids or students know where pasta comes from, or how bananas arrive in their lunchbox? AgDay has free classroom materials on their resources page.
You can get involved from home! You can promote Ag Day, and spread awareness via email and social media. If your home is a farm, even better! Promote pictures and stories about what you do.
