Marrara Fire Station

Volunteers are the backbone of the NTFRS providing fire response within the major towns and communities and road crash rescue response along much of the Territories major road network.

With remote area fire stations often hundreds of miles apart, it is imperative that community based fire and rescue volunteers have the facilities, equipment and the training to effectively undertake emergency response activities.

As a volunteer you may be called upon to assist the full-time firefighters or local police or respond with just other brigade members.

But it’s not just about fighting fires or road crash rescue.

NTFRS volunteers enjoy a range of challenging experiences too so get in touch to find out what you can do.
