In the past the majority of mental health research, programs and services were based on men, then applied to women, leading to many outcomes missing the mark. With a gender lens placed on mental health, research becomes more accurate and support programs experience higher success rates.
Funds raised during the month are donated to the Centre for Women’s Mental Health, Lifeline, Batyr, RUOK?, The Jean Hailes Foundation and The Pretty Foundation.
