GlobalCare

GlobalCare is a disaster relief and social assistance organisation, launched by the International Network of Churches in 1996. Throughout the years, GlobalCare has received accolades from police and emergency services for their tireless work in natural disaster recovery and crisis aid in Australia.

The motto of GlobalCare is ‘mates helping mates’, reminding people of their ultimate focus: mateship. There are 97 local operations all around Australia, with over 2,000 volunteers giving essential aid every week for disaster recovery and crisis management of vulnerable communities. Worldwide there are currently 28 GlobalCare operations providing international humanitarian aid. We have to support and meet the needs of our local communities, particularly in times of hardship.

There are a variety of ways that you can get involved in GlobalCare and support their cause! Wether it’s caring for the victims of natural disasters, helping those experiencing hardship through community-based operations, amplifying the voices of those who are marginalised and vulnerable on social media platforms, supporting a disaster relief campaign or getting involved in their National Others Week in November. You can create invaluable change within your local community while making lifelong connections with like-minded locals!

Please visit their website to see how you can get involved now or to see how you can support them. You can also use either of their contacts to reach out for more information or clarification. Visit their social media pages to see the important work being done and show your support!
