Friends of Bay Road Heathland Sanctuary

This group cares for theHealthland that is the largest remnant of Sandringham Heath. It was saved from “development” by a community campaign in the 1970s.

Their work involves mainly weeding, with some planting and seed collection. They help provide guides when it is open to the public, so that others can enjoy the flowers and animals of this precious place.

Come to their regular care sessions to chat or work 10:00am-12:00pm on the second Saturday of the month, All, and all ages, are very welcome.
