Down Syndrome Australia

The purpose of Down Syndrome Australia is to influence social and policy change, provide a national profile and voice for people living with Down syndrome, and to build resources and knowledge capacity of the state and territory Down syndrome associations.

Their vision is an Australia where people living with Down syndrome are valued, reach their potential and enjoy social and economic inclusion.

People with Down syndrome want the same things as everyone else in the community – the best start in life, a good education, meaningful employment, somewhere to live and active participation in the life of the community around them.

Down Syndrome Australia works alongside the State and Territory Down syndrome associations to make sure people with Down syndrome have every opportunity to reach these simple but life changing goals.

There are many ways you can get involved and help Down Syndrome Australia to achieve their goals.

The most direct and beneficial way to assist Down Syndrome Australia to continue their work is to make a financial contribution with a donation. With limited access to government funding, Down Syndrome Australia is dependent on donations to fund our operations.

To find out more, or to make a donation, visit the Down Syndrome Australia website.
