Close the Gap Day

Australia has one of the highest standards of living in the world, but did you know that most Indigenous people die 10-17 years younger than the rest of the population? Many Indigenous people have a third-world standard of living, including limited access to health services, which creates this ‘gap’ in health.

Close the Gap Day is run by ANTaR, a national advocacy organisation, and aims to achieve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health equality by 2030. To date, almost 200,000 Australians have formally pledged their support in workplaces, hospitals and schools.

You can learn more about Close the Gap Day or register your activity on ANTaR’s website today!
