CERES

The goal of CERES is to promote individuals taking care of their local environment and for people to fall in love with the Earth again. CERES was created in 1982 when a small group of people from Brunswick signed the lease for the current Brunswick East Park!

CERES has been operating for over 40 years now, continuing to improve community wellbeing and environments. They have nearly half a million visits per year to CERES’ Brunswick East Park, and they reach nearly another million through their other locations, school outreach programs and online services.

They can’t achieve what they do without the support of the many incredible volunteers who make it all a reality. Volunteers make up a large sector of the CERES community, making them invaluable members to this organisation and its programs. They invite everyone to lend a hand to CERES’ vision – for people to fall in love with the Earth again!

When you volunteer for CERES, you volunteer for the environment and its longevity. CERES has many different areas that individual volunteers can get involved with. You can volunteer as an individual or a group, become a CERES member, join a community group or become a monthly giver! You can learn more on their website to make the best choice for you.

With their four locations around Melbourne, CERES Fair Wood, CERES Fair Food, Joe’s Market Garden and their initial park in Brunswick East, it’s easier to find the right fit for you, near you! There’s a lot you can do to get involved and support them, so get in touch with them today to learn more.

Check them out and get involved!
