Cape Tribulation Tropical Research Station
The Cape Tribulation Tropical Research Station and Bat House were founded in 1988 in order to study various aspects of the wet tropics, to assist in and promote the preservation, restoration, and protection of the Daintree rainforest since the listing of the area as World heritage.
Many volunteers are members of the scientific community – as students, teachers, environmental activists, paid researchers, or science hobbyists. But if science isn’t your thing, don’t worry – there’s lots to be done in terms of good, hands-on skills (anything from cooking, gardening, and building to computer programming).
There’s lots you can do to get involved, get in touch with them today to find out more!
