BuzzEd Australia

BuzzEd Australia was launched by Luke De Laeter in 2021 as a relaunch of his original business, Luke’s Bees. De Laeter was the 2020 winner of both the Australian Meeting of Young Beekeepers and the Beazley Medal. He worked on growing his first business and educated communities through his “Bee Incursions”. An incredible program De Laeter still does by visiting schools, universities and other groups, to talk and share his knowledge.

BuzzEd Australia is centred around his goal to share his extensive knowledge and inspire others to protect bees through that process! De Laeter’s dedication to these biodiversity heroes began with the first small hive that he received for his 14th birthday. His passion for beekeeping fuelled his commitment to furthering his knowledge and understanding around biodiversity. As De Laeter expanded this expertise, he became a commercial beekeeper, registered with the Department of Agriculture, with his own registered food business. He has also completed a certificate III in Beekeeping and Business.

The many years of De Laeter’s growing passion and knowledge for bees, has given him the incredible ability to educate and inspire others! He uses his aptitude for beekeeping and biodiversity to promote the intrinsic link between bees and our journey towards a sustainable future. For the sake of the world’s food supply and its growing agricultural disparities, communities must step up to provide effective measures for supporting bee populations and habitats.
