Black Rainbow is a national advocacy platform for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Queer, Transgender, and Intersex (LGBQTI) peoples. Black Rainbow offers micro-grants to help with hosting Indigenous LGQBGI community events. Black Rainbow also offer pre-paid phone and data to self-identifying LGBQTI people of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community who may be homeless, leaving a domestic violent relationship or the justice system. They are a non-profit social enterprise that is 100% Indigenous owned and operated. Black Rainbow addresses the LGBQTI-phobias and racism that can lead to the prevalence of suicide and self-harm in Indigenous communities. They also support and advocate for Indigenous people who are experiencing homelessness, mental illness, domestic violence, and those living with HIV.
