Banish the Black Dog Charity Bike Ride was created by the Townsville Central Rotary Club who had the vision to target mental health issues and support healthier minds, bodies and communities.
The ride’s major donation recipient is Australian Rotary Health, the largest non-government mental health research funding organization in Australia. Banish the Black Dog also supports local initiatives in the treatment and support of those suffering mental illnesses.
