Yirra Yaakin

Yirra Yaakin means “Stand Tall” in Noongar language. Since its establishment in 1993, Yirra Yaakin has presented Aboriginal stories to audiences across the globe. Their award-winning theatre productions aim to excite, educate and be culturally appropriate.

Yirra Yaakin also runs an educational program for young people each year, offering a diverse range of performances, events, and specialised workshops. These programs are designed to develop theatre skills, social skills, and to promote a cultural learning experience.
