Waltja

Waltja Tjutangku Palyapayi in the Luritja language means “doing good work with families.” Governed by a Board of Directors who are senior traditional Aboriginal women, permanent residents and leaders in the remote communities, this organisation was recognised as the best-governed Indigenous organisation in 2014.

Waltja runs programs all with the aim of helping families, particularly in the areas of disability, culture, and health and wellbeing. They focus on delivering much-needed services in these remote communities, building partnerships with these communities and promoting self-reliance and dignity.

You can support the work of Waltja by donating, purchasing a product from their art store, or applying for a job vacancy on their website.
