Uplift Project SA

Since 2005, Uplift Project has sent over two million bras wherever women have requested them, without compromising the women’s dignity. Areas that they’ve helped include Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Bali, Uganda and Pakistan, the Northern Territory and the Kimberley regions in Australia. They have also been sent to all areas of Australia during the 2019/2020 bushire crisis. In some of these countries, buying a bra is seen as selfish and the women often face judgement for not spending the money on their family.

Uplift sends bras only where they are requested, using biodegradable packaging, ensuring that they don’t compete with local businesses. You can help by establishing a bra drop-off point or collection point, distributing Uplift posters/ flyers, donating bras or donating money. A bra is a necessity for most women and the bra received through Uplift is often the only bra that woman owns.

So if you want to ensure that other women can live in comfort, don’t hesitate to get in contact today!
