Tour de Cure
In 2007, three friends – Geoff Coombes, Samantha Hollier-James and Gary Bertwistle – met up for a quiet coffee in Sydney.
They wanted to make a difference and decided to see what disease affected the most Australians. With 1 in 2 men and women affected by cancer by the age of 85, they decided to focus their efforts on helping to find a cure for cancer.
Thanks to the ongoing generosity of their supporters – individuals, families, corporate partners and the Australian community – Tour de Cure fund the boldest research, the most talented scientists and the world-class cancer projects that they believe will have the biggest impact.
Tour de Cure’s work since 2007 has shown them that finding a cure for cancer is possible. They are making progress all the time. They use their bike rides and their events to fund the pioneering cancer projects that they believe will lead to a cure.
Everyone can be part of the fight to cure cancer. There are many ways to get involved, from making a donation, fundraising or joining a tour.
If you want to make a difference, they’d love to hear from you!
