Did you know that children in foster care have the lowest education outcomes of all children? In fact 75% of children in care do not complete 12 years of school.
Through the Love of Learning program, volunteers called ‘Pyjama Angels’ are recruited, screened, trained and then matched with a child in care and spend time with them once a week.
By improving their learning skills, volunteers are making a positive, life-long impact in the lives of foster children. The volunteers help children develop their learning skills and perhaps more importantly, demonstrate that the child is valued as an individual.
