Being separated from a parent is one of the most traumatic events a child can experience, and children of prisoners are five times more likely than other kids to end up in prison themselves.

SHINE for Kids has a firm belief in the power of early intervention and a focus on collaboration to reduce the negative effects of parental imprisonment on children and young people.

There are many opportunities to get involved with SHINE for Kids. You can help this wonderful organisation by fundraising, volunteering with them, being a mentor in their Veteran’s Young Offender Mentoring program, or, if you are a company, you can provide pro bono assistance to young people needing professional experience.
