RSPCA Darwin

The RSPCA (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) provides a strong voice for animals experiencing cruelty and neglect. The RSPCA is committed to the care and welfare of animals.

Through their programs, they assist the elderly and victims of domestic violence by caring for their animals while they seek help. They also run remote assistance clinics in regional areas and an indigenous dogs scheme.

They work with local councils, state and federal governments and other interested groups including community organisations, wildlife authorities, farmers and professional associations, to ensure the rights of animals are upheld.

Fostering an animal is something you can do from home! It’s a great option for people who live in remote areas, or have limited mobility (though please consider the exercise needs of the animal).

98% of their work is funded by the generous donations of supporters. You can also volunteer with the RSPCA, or adopt an animal to be a life-long friend!
