Oxfam (Indigenous Australia) NSW

Did you know that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples have a life expectancy 10 years less than other Australians, and that Aboriginal children die at twice the rate of other Australian children? Oxfam has supported Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander self-determination – individuals and communities – for about 40 years. Oxfam Australia works in the areas of Indigenous women’s political leadership, with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people through the Wylak program, as well as in advocacy for policy and practice change. The mortality rates for Indigenous peoples is on par with some of the world’s most impoverished nations. Help Oxfam change that and get in touch with them today!
