Offenders Aid & Rehabilitation Services (OARS)

OARS is one of Australia’s most innovative non-government crime prevention agencies.

Over recent years OARS has been working very hard to advocate for better public policy to reduce the overuse of incarceration, and improve community safety.

At OARS, there are many different volunteer opportunities suitable for people with all types of experience and interests. Volunteers can help in departments  such as Circle of Support & Accountability (COSA), Keep in Touch (Phone call back service), Crisis Accommodation Support & Advocacy, OARS Family Centre at Yatala Prison, helping in reception and administration duties, or doing general maintenance support.
