Men’s Health Week

All this emphasis on the health of boys and men – what’s that about? They’re alright, aren’t they?

But did you know that men are at greater risk for a range of fatal factors – men die from alcohol poisoning at six times the rate that women do,  and 80% of spinal chord injuries occur in young men. Men are also an average of three times more likely than women to die from suicide.

More men die at every stage through the life course, more men have accidents, and more men suffer from preventable lifestyle-related diseases than women at the same age.

If you want to do something about the health of the men in your life, and across the country, head to their website to organise or attends a Men’s Heath Week Event near you!
