Idiopathic Hypersomnia Awareness Week
Idiopathic Hypersomnia (IH), sometimes referred to as Idiopathic Hypersomnolence, is a neurological sleep/wake disorder characterised by excessive sleep and daytime sleepiness despite extraordinary amounts of good quality sleep. It is a debilitating condition often profoundly affecting work, education, and relationships.
The aim of the Idiopathic Hypersomnia Awareness Week is to raise awareness and to help improve the level of education of the neurological sleep/wake disorder.
Hypersomnolence Australia does not receive funding and do not charge membership fees. They rely on donations and fundraising to help fund their basic programs and appreciate any amount, no matter how small.
