Hamilton Samaritans Op Shop

Op Shops are essential for both creating accessible services and funding key community programs. At any of the four Samaritans Op Shops in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, you can buy donated pre-loved clothes and donate your own items to help those in your local community!

Their volunteering opportunities provide the ability for individuals to use their skills for meaningful community change. The Samaritan Op Shops, along with many of the Foundation’s programs, are reliant on the incredible work of their valued volunteers!

All of the profits from purchases and donations collected by the four Op Shops, go towards the Samaritan Foundation’s vital services supporting local individuals and families who’re navigating difficult times.

When donating please ensure all the items are clean and in a good saleable condition. Please also donate responsibly by phoning ahead to confirm store opening times – this gives you the opportunity to check that the type of donations are suitable and it also prevents the store being used as a “dumping ground” which diverts funds from welfare programs into waste disposal costs.

To learn more about volunteering opportunities available to you and for more information about the Hamilton Op Shop, please visit their website! To contact the Hamilton Op Shop please use the listed phone number and to enquire out about their volunteering options, you can use the websites contact form.

If you'd like to donate a large item, please call ahead to check that they can receive what you have to give. Op shops spend millions of dollars a year on rubbish removal so please don't give broken, dirty, or poor quality items.

Check them out and get involved!
