Freecycle

The Freecycle mission is to build a worldwide sharing movement that reduces waste, saves precious resources & eases the burden on landfills while enabling members to benefit from the strength of a larger community.

The Freecycle Network is made up of 5,317 groups with 9,188,977 members around the world, and next door to you. It’s a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (and getting) stuff for free in their own towns and neighborhoods. It’s all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. Each local group is moderated by local volunteers. Membership is free.

To connect with your local Freecycle group, or perhaps set up a new group, visit the website.

If you'd like to donate a large item, please call ahead to check that they can receive what you have to give. Op shops spend millions of dollars a year on rubbish removal so please don't give broken, dirty, or poor quality items.

Check them out and get involved!
