Australian Plants Society (Tas)

Australian Plants Society Tasmania is part of an Australia-wide organisation made up of people interested in the propagation, cultivation and conservation of plants native to Australia. One District Group is situated in Launceston and there are other Groups in Hobart and the North West Coast.

Northern Group have regular meetings on the third Tuesday of each month at Max Fry Hall, Trevallyn at 7:30pm when knowledgeable speakers give short presentations on a huge range of topics concerning our native plants and environment.

Excursions are organised often to properties not accessible to the general public or to little known reserves and conservation lands from coast to alpine areas displaying the enormous diversity of native plants in Tasmania. All their events are sociable, inclusive and enjoyable in the company of like-minded people.

Northern Group has a native plant nursery at Windsor Community Precinct in Riverside where members and friends meet to propagate on the first Saturday of each month at 1pm.
