Aboriginal Childrens Day

Children’s Day is a time to for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families to celebrate the strengths and culture of their children. It’s an opportunity for all Australians to show their support, as well as learn about the crucial impact that culture, family and community play in the life of every child.

It is run each year by SNAICC (Secretariat of National Aboriginal and Islander Child Care), the national non-government group representing the interests of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families. They continue to fight for better access to culturally appropriate early childhood education for children.
