Kirinari is Yandruwandha for Place of Learning. The goal of organisation is to build hostels for Aboriginal boys to enable them to attend school in the city to further their education, whilst also providing mentorship.
Hostels not only provide accommodation for Aboriginal high school students, provisions are also made for study areas, cultural resources, art, dressmaking, music, and computer facilities. Every effort is made to make the transition from country schools to suburban schools easier. Former residents are now employed in a range of professions, such as medicine, law and education.
