World Suicide Prevention Day

Today is a reminder of how important it is to reach out to both the people we know and love, as well as to colleagues and even strangers. Showing support can make a big difference – it could even save someone’s life.

Suicide was the leading cause of death for individuals aged 15-44 in 2021, with 3,144 deaths in Australia. This is an average of about 9 people per day. This number is absolutely heartbreaking and a reminder that while this topic may be difficult to talk about, not talking about it is having deadly consequences.
