World Habitat Day is a time to reflect on the state of our towns and cities, and on the basic right to adequate shelter.
The day is also intended to remind us we all have the power and the responsibility to shape the future of our cities and towns.
The theme for 2022 was “Mind the Gap, Leave No One and Place behind”. This chosen theme is a result of the evolving problem of inequality and challenges that individuals face in cities and human settlements.
