World Diabetes Day

This year for World Diabetes Day the theme is ‘Access to Diabetes Care’. Over 100 years have passed since Leonard Thomas received the first successful injection of insulin. Yet we still have individuals suffering and dying because they cannot access or afford their necessary treatment. 

People with diabetes shouldn’t have to suffer because their basic care cannot be accessed or provided. This is a day to support the diabetic community in ensuring they have guaranteed access to necessary treatment and medication.
