Planet Ark help people and businesses to reduce their impact on the environment in positive and practical ways. The organisation was started in June 1991 by DoSomething Founders Jon Dee and Pat Cash. The organisation is now in its 29th year of operation.
The organisation runs RecyclingNearYou.com.au. No matter where you live in Australia, this excellent site shows you what you can recycle in your local community. It also runs the BusinessRecycling.com.au website. This site makes recycling at work easy and lists recycling options for around 90 different materials. Your school and business can also get involved in their National Recycling Week.
You can also volunteer for their National Tree Day at the end of July. Founded by Olivia Newton-John and Jon Dee, this event has motivated Australians into planting tens of millions of trees.
