Friends of the Phasmid

The Friends of the Phasmid are a group of dedicated people who are interested in the survival of the Lord Howe Island (LHI) stick insect (Phasmid) who’s scientific name is Dryococelus australis. The Phasmid was rediscovered living on a rock, Ball’s Pyramid 23 km South East of LHI on the 5th February 2001.

If you can help in any way, general office duties, school talks, marketing, computer skills, please let us know how you can help. Volunteers are the driving force in any not for profit organisation, so I thank you in advance for your time and commitment to the environment by helping save this fascinating stick insect.
