Environment Centre NT

The Environment Centre NT (ECNT) has been working hard to protect the Territory environment since 1983.

ECNT is lobbying for a strong Climate Policy for the Territory, including a net zero emissions target by 2050 and a ban on shale gas fracking. Their vision is for a sustainable future for the Territory built on clean, low risk renewable technology. ECNT advocates for protection of the unique Territory landscapes and biodiversity. This includes through strong environmental legislation, including stronger laws for land clearing and mining rehabilitation.

If you’re looking to do something rewarding, fun and meaningful, join their great team of volunteers. There are plenty of opportunities to help, includin coming into the office to assist with general admin, supporting a campaign or program, attending public demonstrations, helping out at events or workshops, and conducting research. You can even join the Board of the Environment Centre NT. Get in touch today to find out more!
