Compassionate Communities

The Blue Mountains ‘Our Compassionate Communities’ project is a collaborative effort to improve end of life care in the Upper Blue Mountains.

They work to strengthen the relationships between healthcare providers (GP’s, Palliative care, community services etc) and families, neighbourhoods and social groups in order to better support people who have terminal illnesses, the people who care for them, and the bereaved.

As part of this, the ‘Willing Villagers’ program recognises and supports the people in the community who tend to naturally build relationships, know about what’s happening in the local community, and want to contribute. If you recognise yourself as one of these Willing Villagers and would like to join, or want to get involved in any way, get in touch today!
