Australian Wildlife Protection Council Inc.

The Australian Wildlife Protection Council (AWPC) is a non-profit organisation, founded in 1969, dedicated to the protection and preservation of Australian wildlife and it’s habitat and their protection from cruelty and exploitation.

They believe our wildlife has intrinsic value to our heritage, culture and environment and we seek to dispel misconceptions, to educate and be a voice for all our native species.

The AWPC are actively engaged in the revisions and consultation of wildlife legislation, the opposition of wildlife exploitation and advocate for wildlife rescuers and shelters.

Rescuing and caring for injured native animals is something you can do from home! It’s a great option for people who live in remote areas.

If you would like to join the AWPC, make a donation or simply find out more about their work, get in touch today!
