World Bipolar Day

World Bipolar day is celebrated on March 30th every year, on Vincent van Gogh’s birthday, who is believed to have had Bipolar Disorder. Bipolar Disorder affects roughly 1.3% of Australian adults, equating to approximately one in fifty adults. It is a devastating illness which affects its population in many different ways. It is important that we remember how important health care professionals, loved ones and sufferers are for opening up a discussion about this mental illness and improving treatment.
